It is possible to perform a remote control operation by using a communication medium having little constriction concerning the IP network directivity and the communication-enabled range. Since bi-directional communication can be performed between a remote controller and an operation object, it is possible to perform a reliable communication by a transmission check, handle a complicated command system using the GUI operation, and transmit a large-capacity data such as the moving picture streaming by using a comparatively wide band. A television receiver as a remote control object delivers moving picture data such as a child screen via an IP network to an IP remote controller, so that viewing can be enabled at the IP remote controller side.
