Mixing chamber for ventilation and air-conditioning systems

For ventilation and air-conditioning systems, there is proposed a mixing chamber which, in order to obtain high degrees of mixing, makes do merely with the louvre flaps provided in the region of the inlets and for the two partial airstreams and can thus effect the mixing operation without additional pressure losses. The flap containers 11 and 12 in two flap groups rotatable in opposite directions to one another are dimensioned with different widths for this purpose. The flap containers 11 having the greatest width 17 overlap, in their blocking-off position, in each case one of the two adjacently mounted, narrow flap containers 12 over a major part of its width 16. In the open position of both flap groups, the overlapping regions of the flap containers 11 having the greater width 17 project by way of their longitudinal edge 23 in each case beyond the longitudinal edge of the adjacent, narrower flap blade 12. <IMAGE>
