PURPOSE: A variable blade type radiator cooling fan is provided to prevent the frequent driving of a radiator cooling fan due to the insufficiency of the volume of cooling air by changing the position of blades. CONSTITUTION: A variable blade type radiator cooling fan comprises a motor(2) for driving a cooling fan; a rotating shaft(3) rotating by the rotation of the motor; an active disk(4) fixed on the front end of the rotating shaft; a passive disk(5) fitted on the rotating shaft spacing apart from the active disk and installed movable along the rotating shaft; a plurality of fitting holes(9,10) formed on the circumferences of the active disk and the passive disk; and a plurality of blades(6) having two support legs(11,12), inclining by the advancing of the active disk during operation and arraying in parallel with the direction of a wind during stoppage. When the motor is driven, the blades are inclined to forcibly blow air. When a radiator is cooled by simply a traveling wind, the blades are placed parallel with the inflow direction of the traveling wind. Therefore, sufficient cooling performance is maintained.
