The freewheel device is for an aircraft control surface power unit embodying alternative hydraulic-motor drives. The device comprises an input shaft with cam surfaces which can press rollers into power-transmitting engagement with the bore of a casing fixed to an output shaft. An intermediate member - with limited rotational freedom relative to the input shaft - carries the rollers radially movable but peripherally fixed. The intermediate member (4) is coupled to the input shaft (6) by torsion-springs (3), and carries two sets of braking fittings. One fitting (7) bears against a stationary component (9) and the other (8) against the output shaft (12) casing (10).PS. |
