PURPOSE:To obtain a reflecting surface which has the same surface as a precision surface of revolution has, by implanting and hardening epoxy resin, etc., on the precision surface of revolution after a mold release agent is thinly and uniformly applied on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A rotatable coating member 2 is composed of a shaft 4 and circular head 6. The head 6 is made of Al, etc., and its surface 8 which is used as a coating surface is finished to have a surface accuracy of about lambda/8 and surface roughness of a Rmax=0.02mum by machining. When the mold release agent of Si resion 10 is dropped onto the center of the surface 8 and the member 2 is rotated by means of the shaft 4, the mold release agent 10 is thinned uniformly by the centrifugal force. Then, an infrared ray is irradiated upon the surface 8 and the mold release agent 10 is heated and hardened. After the agent is hardened, a casting frame 12 is fitted to the member 2 and a synthetic resin, for example, epoxy resin, etc., is implanted into the frame 12 and hardened. After the synthetic resin is hardened, the hardened resin is taken out from the frame. The surface of the synthetic resin block which was contacted with the surface 8 can be used as a reflecting surface. |
