Process for the manufacture of aromatic absolutes where the concretes are subjected to a direct distillation, without any adjuvant, in a suitable apparatus, thereby giving a distillate A, where absolute alcohol is introduced immediately after into the still warm apparatus without stopping the stirring, where an amount of pure water is introduced into the solution obtained which is sufficient for the aromatic substances to remain in solution, where the waxes are precipitated and washed with alcohol, where the alcoholic solutions obtained are combined, separated by settling, cooled, chilled, filtered and then concentrated, and where the concentrate obtained is mixed with the distillate to give the final absolute.
