PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot arm improved so as to be able to put both hands together immediately before a chest. SOLUTION: This robot arm 4 is provided with an upper arm 12 connected rotatably around an axis A2 extending frontward and backward to a shoulder joint 11 connected rotatably around an axis A1 extending leftward and rightward to a body 3, a front arm 14 connected to the upper arm through an elbow joint 13, and a hand 15 connected to a tip of the front arm. In this case, the elbow joint is connected rotatably around an axis A3 to the upper arm. Thereby, the elbow joint can torsionally move with respect to the upper arm, so that both the hands can be put together before the chest with the elbows bent.
