The track is made of rubber or similar material in which steel links are embedded. It has steel wires running longitudinally. On their inside, the links have projections which are engaged by the toothed drive wheels of the vehicle. The steel wires (7) have projections (8) in the region of the links (4) which engage in deepended formations of the links. Such projections are formed by metal casings (8) which cannot be displaced. They have a wall thickness which corresponds to half the dia. of the wire, and a length equal to three to five times the wire dia. USE/ADVANTAGE - To increase the loadability of a continuous track on an excavator.
