PURPOSE:To evaluate a denitration capacity and durability of a catalyst in high accuracy and quickly by bringing a denitration catalyst into contact with a gas containing arsenious acid vapor and measuring an amount of adsorbed arsenic. CONSTITUTION:A denitration catalyst is prepared by applying a catalyst component mainly composed of titanium oxide to a metallic glass plate. A gas containing arsenious acid, as a catalyst poison, is brought into contact with this catalyst and made to be adsorbed by it. After that, an amount of arsenic adsorbed by this catalyst and a denitration factor of this arsenic-absorbed catalyst are measured, and a relationship between the relative denitration factor and the adsorbed amount of AS is obtained from measured data. As this relationship is constant and independent of test conditions, the denitration factor and durability of a catalyst can be evaluated by this relationship. |
