PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of improving accuracy of selection as a preceding vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 10 for controlling an own vehicle according a position of other vehicle which exist in front of the own vehicle, and being mounted on the own vehicle comprises: locus estimation means 23 for estimating a locus of a route of the own vehicle; setting means 24 for setting a parameter which indicates a relative position of other vehicle, to the own vehicle in a lateral direction being orthogonal to the locus of the own vehicle; determination means 26 for determining whether or not, other vehicle is a preceding vehicle which exists on the route of the own vehicle, based on the parameter; and change means 25 for, when the locus estimated by the locus estimation means 23 is a curve, based on the locus and the position of other vehicle, changing likelihood degree of being determined as a preceding vehicle, by the determination means 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
