PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically confirm the function and mechanical operation in the developing work of a printer and to enhance trouble detection capacity by providing a test control means reading the combination of the test elements generated by a matrix generation means from a test element memory means. SOLUTION: A matrix generation part 7 forms a combination of two test elements and a test control part 8 performs the control necessary for the matrix generation part 7 necessary for testing a printer 1 and a console control part 9-1 - an apparatus environment setting part 9-5. At a time of the selection of two combination test elements, the test control part compares the preferential degree numerical values of respective test elements to hold the test data of the test element smallest in numerical value first and continuously holds the test data of the test element next small in preferential degree numerical value. When the test control part 8 completes the holding of the test data of all of the test elements thus selected according to preferential order, it transmits a series of test data to the printer to perform a test. |
