The lightweight wing for a hang glider has a double profile of thin elastic material stretched over inflatable plastics ribs welded to the wing. The ribs retain the wing shape without increasing the weight of the structure and without instable vibrations. The rib pressure can be altered in flight, with a normally operated pump, so that the profile can be adjusted to wind conditions. The wing is able to lie closer to the wind for improved aerodynamic flight.
