PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can easily obtain a mirror image by inverting indication of an image on a monitor, when a camera section is directed to an operator himself so as to be utilized for the study of forms in various sports and checking of applying makeup and dressing. SOLUTION: A body 5 has an upper face, a bottom face, and 1st and 2nd side faces opposed to each other, so as to connect the upper face and the bottom face. The upper face is notched to be nearly a U-shape, and a camera section 8, having a lens container section 7 at the notch, is supported by a horizontal spindle 6, so that a lens section is turned in the direction of the 1st and 2nd side faces. An LCD 2 to display an image photographed by the camera section 8 is placed on the 1st side face of the body 5. An operation button 31 for controlling the operation of the LCD 2 is provided to the 1st side face. When the camera section 8 is directed in the direction of the operator itself, the display of the image on the LCD 2 is inverted.
