PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and apparatus which remarkably reduce drain water discharged during removal of chlorine and potassium.SOLUTION: A treatment method of collected ash of a recovery boiler includes the steps of: mixing at least a part of the collected ash of the recovery boiler with water to obtain dissolved slurry; obtaining an aqueous solution containing chlorine and potassium from the dissolved slurry; separating water from the aqueous solution; and supplying the water obtained in the water separation step to a slurry preparation tank to mix with the collected ash of the recovery boiler.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
