The commutator brush (3) is held within a sheet metal brush guide (1). At least one sidewall of the latter is in electrical contact with one side of the commutator brush (3), which has a curved bottom contact face (2). The top face of the brush is angled and is actec on by a coil spring (5) biasing it downwards. The opposits side of the brush guide (1) to that in contact with the commutator brush (3) is formed over aall or part of its width as a stamped profile for guiding and locating the coil spring (5).
