DEVICE FOR THERMOPLASTICS' MELTS' MELTS FILTERING

Presently known devices for filtering liquid thermoplastics in continuous operation are not equipped with a system of sealing of motion parts ensuring filter exchange that would, preserving sufficient sealing pressure, ensure conditions for exchange automation. The presently known devices also do not solve the problem of ventilation of the melt flow after filter exchange, or they solve it only with incurred losses of the processed material. In the proposed device the required sealing pressure is achieved by heating to operation temperature due to a different thermal expansion dilatation of the separate parts and corresponding to rigidity of connecting screws. The flexibility of the sealing system enables to exchange the filters without drop of pressure, thus automating the exchange procedure. The device, with regard to the construction design, can be used for processing of a large spectrum of polymers, including secondary raw matters. The solution equipped with inlet and outlet slides enables thorough ventilation of melt in case, when required by the character of the product.<IMAGE>
