摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode preventing the reduction in the conductivity of an active material in charging/discharging cycles and defective current collection and maintaining a high utilization factor over a long period of time by connecting the positive electrode active material containing tin oxide fibers in a material capable of storing/discharging lithium to a current collector. SOLUTION: Stannous chloride of 639.0(g), metallic tin of 549.6(g), and antimony chloride of 95.8(g) are dissolved in methanol of 3942(g) in sequence, and the mixture is concentrated into a spinning liquid. The gel fibers spun with the spinning liquid are baked for two hr at 700 deg.C then cut off to obtain tin oxide fibers having the average fiber diameter of 27μm and the aspect ratio of 20. A PTFE binder of 16mg and the tin oxide fibers of 129mg are mixed into LiCoO2 of 500mg to obtain a positive active material, and the positive active material is pressurized and molded on a copper current collector by a press machine to manufacture a positive electrode. The positive electrode is installed on a stainless bottom plate, lithium perchlorate is dissolved into propylene carbonate to form an electrolyte in a PTFE cylinder section, and a negative electrode and a reference electrode are suspended from an upper lid for use.
