911,605. Haymaking machines. VAN DER LELY N.V., C. March 18, 1959 [March 20, 1958], No. 9467/59. Class 6(3). A haymaking machine frame 1, 2, 8, 9 consisting of a pivoted parallelogram structure mounted on ground-wheels 12, 13, 15, has rake-wheels 6, 7 mounted on parallel beams 3, 4, 5, interconnecting the sides of the structure which is adjustably deformable for performing different raking operations, Fig. 3, the rake-wheels being mounted in pairs on the cross-beams and on opposite sides thereof. As shown in Fig. I the machine is employed for side-delivery raking and the beam 2 is connected to the tractor 23 by adjustable links 21, 28. In Fig. 3, for swath-turning, the links are moved to the beam 1 and the ground wheels are moved along their respective beams. The ends of the cross-beams are upturned so that the rake-wheel centres lie below the framework 1, 2, 8, 9. The rakewheels are mounted on cranks 38a, Fig. 6, which are embedded in rubber bushes 45 within the hollow bearing-bushes 46 on the frame, each bearing-bush being provided with an upstanding arm 40a connected to means for adjusting the rake-wheels simultaneously. In a modification, Fig. 9, the crank arm is made resilient by being formed of parallel leaf-springs 49, 50 joining the crank-pin 37a with the crank-axle 51, the latter having the upstanding arm 40b. Specifications 911,606 and 911,607 are referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 807,427. |
