Human interference in a computer system sets a stored element to cause a check comparison, a good result from which resets the storage element. Human interference with a computer or one of its input/output devices sets a flip-flop to cause the computer, before data transfer to or from the input/output device, to check the position of, or check label information in, the latter. The computer can proceed to supply commands to the input/output device only if the check indicates no error, any such command, or the " no error " signal directly, serving to reset the flip-flop. If there is an error, an alarm is given. |
