PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for reinforcing of the bottom of a dock and to enable shortening of a work period, by a method wherein, when a marine structure is constructed, a weight which increases with the progress of a work is supported by buoyancy of a structure body. CONSTITUTION:Blocks 8 are placed on the bottom 7 of a dock, and projections 2 on a marine structure body A are placed on the blocks 8. A lower structure body 13 of the body A is then placed on the projections 2, and the two parts are joined by a welding. A number of watertight sections are formed at the inside of the lower structure body 13, and when water is poured into the dock, the lower structure body 13 can be supported by buoyancy, which results in reducing a load applied to the blocks 8 and the bottom 7. A rest part 12 of the body A is placed on the lower structure body 13 to join together the two parts. When a load applied to the blocks 8 increases, buoyancy produced on the body A is increased by increasing an amount of water poured into the canal. This method is effective in the case of a marine structure having a small bottom area. |
