The dovetailed tray has a male part fixed to the denture and a female part secured to the crown so the two parts join in friction. The male part is dovetailed to slide into a conforming slot in the female part using a flat abutment surface on the male part where this adjoins the denture alongside the insertion slot. At its front end the male part (1) has between its abutment surface (8) and dovetail part (5), a slot (9) which thus separates these two components. It extends over one third or the height of the male part. This expandable part of the male section is traversed by a head screw whose head (10) lies flush with or is set back from the dovetail part furthest from the slot. The male part traversed by the screw is smooth-bored so the screw shaft (11) engages a tapped hole of the part (7) fixed to the denture. USE/ADVANTAGE - Dentistry, denture fitting.
