The appts. has a vessel for receiving the fluid to be separated, which has a pair of outlet openings (12, 14), and a coalescence element (15, 16). The vessel (10) and/or the coalescence element (15, 16), and/or further elements (18, 19), are of modular construction. On the vessel (10), there may be at least two coalescence elements (27, 28), selectable by a change over valve (34). In an alternative, the element (27) is above the vessel (10), with an inlet for the raw fluid located physically between element (27) and vessel (10). The fluid enters the inlet, then passes through the element from the outside, to leave its interior and enter the vessel (10) via an overflow tube (44). |
