A novel stress induced secreted protein-1(SISP-1), which is p53 target gene, and an SISP-1 protein are provided to induce apoptosis by being interacted with p53, thereby being used for diseases related with abnormal apoptosis such as tumor. The polypeptide inducing apoptosis in a cell comprises a sequence selected from the group consisting of an amino acid sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 2, an amino acid sequence more than 75% homologous to the sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 2, an amino acid sequence more than 90% homologous to the sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 2, and an amino acid sequence in which 1-10 amino acids is deleted from, added to, inserted into, or substituted with the sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 2. The nucleic acid molecule comprises a sequence selected from the group consisting of a nucleotide sequence coding the polypeptide or a complement thereof, a nucleotide sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 1 or a complement thereof, a nucleotide sequence described as SEQ ID : NO. 3, 4, or 6 or a complement thereof, and a nucleotide sequence of a nucleic acid molecule hybridized into a nucleic acid molecule consisting of the sequences mentioned above. The pharmaceutical composition comprises a therapeutically effective amount of the polypeptide, the nucleic acid molecule, a viral transporter including the nucleic acid molecule and/or a non-viral transporter including the nucleic acid molecule, pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or an excipient.
