FIBER DISTRIBUTION SHELF ASSEMBLY, OPTICAL FIBER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND ELECTRIC INTERCONNECTION METHOD BETWEEN SYSTEM CONTROLLER AND CONNECTION MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly in which electric leads extended from an array of connection modules in a fiber distribution shelf are organized and which is integrated with a fiber management system to realize excellent space efficiency. SOLUTION: An electric back plane 40 interconnecting a plural connection modules 24 in a fiber distribution shelf 14 to a central controller of the optical fiber management system is fitted on a bracket assembly in a range of a shelf structure of the fiber distribution shelf 14. The electric back plane 40 is supported in a small nonused space between an upper part of the connection modules 24 and an upper panel 44 in the inside of the fiber distribution shelf 14 in the bracket assembly. The specific configuration to reduce remarkably the size and the complexity of the entire optical fiber management system is provided by containing the entire electric back plane 40 in the shelf structure of the fiber distribution shelf 14.
