Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising: (i) a chimeric polypeptide, which comprises a Factor VIII (FVIII) portion and a second portion; and (ii) at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, wherein 15% to about 25% of the FVIII portion of the chimeric polypeptide comprises single chain FVIII and about 75% to about 85% of the FVIII portion of the chimeric polypeptide comprises processed FVIII, and wherein the composition is lyophilised. Also disclosed is use of the pharmaceutical composition of anyone of claims 1 to 24 in the manufacture of a medicament for preventing, decreasing or treating a bleeding episode in a human. |
