The parking brake has an actuator (2) with a nut (4) and a spindle (3), a drive (5) to manipulate the actuator and an emergency release device (6). The emergency release device has an essentially U-shaped release element (7) and an actuator (8) for providing a release force (F) on the release element. The release element is connected to the nut and a course mechanism (20) is connected to manipulate a push pull cable of the parking brake with the release element. The release element (7) is connected with the nut by means of a positive connection.
