PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin square bottle body having a thin barrel part configured to allow swelling deformation so as not to cause outward buckling deformation of a reduced pressure absorbing panel during high-temperature filling (pressurized state), and to eliminate a swelling deformed state during temperature drop (pressure reduced state) by improving, in particular, the shape of a reduced pressure absorbing panel of the square bottle body.SOLUTION: In the synthetic resin square bottle body (1), a concave reduced pressure absorbing panel (10) is provided on a peripheral wall (5) of a square cylindrical barrel part (4) having four flat plate type peripheral walls (5) and four corner walls (6) for connecting the peripheral walls (5) in a chamfered form. A plurality of transverse convex ribs (13) having convex cross sections which are vertically formed at predetermined intervals are disposed on a panel bottom face (12) of the reduced pressure absorbing panel (10). The longitudinal dimension of a central part (13a) of the transverse convex rib (13) is made different from the longitudinal dimension of its both end parts (13b). |
