PURPOSE:To absorb a waving phenomenon of a traverse table caused by a ball screw by arranging a movable table freely movably in a radial direction of a grindstone on the traverse table and arranging a forcing spring for making a feeler of the movable table always contact a template. CONSTITUTION:A ball screw 13 is rotated and a cut-in table 11 is fed forward to a specified position by the drive of a servomotor 12, and a traverse table 5 is reciprocally traverse-fed by means of a ball screw 7 of a linear bearing by the drive of a servomotor 6 to dressmachine a grindstone 1 by means of a diamond tool 20. Here, a movable table 9 is carried and guided by a linear bearing lightly slidably in a radial direction of the grindstone on the traverse table 5, and a feeler 17 arranged on a bottom surface of the movable table 9 is forced to contact by a spring 18 to a straight surface of a template 16, movement of the movable table 9 in a radial direction is restricted, and a minute waving phenomenon of the traverse table 3 in the direction of the grindstone axis caused by a ball screw 7 is absorbed. Aa a result, the movable table, moves always straight and a diamond tool 10 is able to dress the peripheral width direction of the grindstone 1 straight.
