PURPOSE:To provide the titled promoting agent containing the extract of YOKUININ (speed of adlay) having a specific molecular weight as an active component. CONSTITUTION:Raw or dried YOKUININ is extracted with an alcohol solution having a concentration of >=50wt%, and if necessary, the extract is filtered, and then concentrated by removing the solvent. For the effective extraction of the active component, it is preferable to use ethanol of 50-80% concentration. The extraction is preferably carried out at 40-70 deg.C for several hours - several days. The F-2 fraction obtained by this process is soluble easily in hydrophilic organic solvent, and the objective sebum-secretion promoting agent can be prepared in the form of a peroral drug, drink, transcutaneous drug, etc. by diluting or dissolving the fraction in water or alcohol, etc. Dose: 1-500mg, preferably 10-100mg of the dried F-2 fraction per kg daily. YOKUININ is a traditional crude drug for internal use and is effective to diuretic, antipyretic and anti- inflammatory purposes, etc. |
