PURPOSE:To enable an excellent stencil to be formed simultaneously with nor mal printing output, by a system wherein on switching to a stencil-making mode, the quantity of energy supplied to each heating element is automatically increased. CONSTITUTION:A printing mode and the stencil-makind mode are alternately switched from one to the other by a mode changeover switch 7-1. In the stencil- making mode, a size mode is automatically set, and when a stencil size selecting switch 7-2 is depressed, a desired stencil size can be selected. A printing density regulating lever 10 is used for regulating electric power supplied to the heating elements H in a thermal head 39. Namely, in the stencil-making mode, a voltage impressed on each of the heating elements is automatically increased to 1.15 times (1.32 times on a electric power basis) of that in the printing mode through an IC operational amplifier A5 and a driver Q5 by a combination of signals outputted from terminals PF0-PF7 for a microcomputer 35, whereby higher electric power can be supplied. |
