PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic for massaging, giving excellent feeling to the skin, having excellent massaging effect, skin-conditioning effect and functional characteristics, by using small spheres of water-containing polymer particles having elasticity, flexibility and softness and free from disagreeable feeling and pain. CONSTITUTION:The objective massaging cosmetic contains water-containing particles (preferably having particle diameter of 0.1-1.0mm) of a water-insoluble and highly water-absorbing polymer (a polymer insoluble in water and capable of absorbing a large amount of water and preferably having an absorption ratio of 200-1,000 times weight of said polymer, e.g. crosslinked copolymer of vinyl alcohol and acrylic acid). The weight ratio of the water-insoluble highly water-absorbing polymer to water to be compounded in a massaging cosmetic is preferably 1:(5-50). The cosmetic is used in the form of lotion, milky lotion, cream, gel, etc., and the polymer content in the cosmetic is preferably 50-90wt.%. |
