PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital information recording apparatus by which digital information transmitted after being bit-compressed and modulated can be recorded by a method wherein error-corrected compressed information which is corrected on the basis of a transmission parity signal added to compressed information is received, a recording parity signal which is different from the transmission parity signal is added to the compressed information so as to be modulated and the modulated compressed information is recorded. SOLUTION: In the digital information recording apparatus, a transmission signal from a transmission line 27 is received so as to be input to a demodulation circuit 31. A demodulated signal is input to an error correction circuit 32, and an error is detected and corrected on the basis of an added parity signal for error correction. The output of the error correction circuit 32 is input to a parity addition circuit 33, and a parity signal which is used to detect and correct an error generated in a recording and reproducing process is added. A signal to which the parity signal is added is demodulated, by a demodulation circuit 34, to a signal suitable for a magnetic recording operation. A demodulated signal is recorded on a magnetic tape 40. |
