<p>Video games in different game genres in which a game character in one game can be made to appear in another game while maintaining the name and characteristics of the character. Part or all of the game character data representing the characteristics of a character appearing in two video games is made common. A cipher output screen is displayed, the currently game character data of the video game being played is ciphered, and the ciphered character data is displayed on the cipher output screen.
