PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new, more efficient and less aggressive methods for permanent shaping of hair.SOLUTION: A cosmetic hair treatment method includes: a) applying a mechanical tension to hair; b) exposing the hair under mechanical tension to microwaves, in the presence of a solvent in a vapor form in contact with the hair, without complete drying of the hair during the exposure to the microwaves, the solvent in the vapor form being entirely generated by the evaporation of a compound which is present, before emission of the microwaves, in contact with the treated hair.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
