The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1090146/C2/1> and, when R11 is H, the tautomeric form <FORM:1090146/C2/2> and salts thereof where R and R1 are H, a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon which may be substituted, or together form a ring which may contain further hetero atoms, and R11 is H or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms. The compounds are prepared by reacting 2,6-dichlorobenzoyl chloride with a compound of the formula RR1N-NH2, reacting the product with phosphorus pentasulphide and optionally with an acid, base or alkylating agent.ALSO:Herbicidal compositions contain as an active ingredient a compound of the formula <FORM:1090146/A5-A6/1> or, when R/yF is H, the tautomeric form <FORM:1090146/A5-A6/2> or salts thereof, where R and R/sv, a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon which may be substituted, or together form a ring which may contain further hetero atoms, and R/yF is H of alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms. The compounds may be used in combination with pesticides, fertilisers and other biologically active substances. |
