PURPOSE:To mount a part of weak strength so as to be prevented from damage with no necessity for using labor, by automatically mounting a cassette lock, which fixes a ribbon cassette containing a printing ribbon for a printer or the like, to a ribbon cassette holder. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon cassette holder 8 is transfer fed with a pallet 6 in the left direction by a base conveyer 7. If the holder reaches a predetermined position, a stop cylinder 3 lowers to fix the holder 8. While a cassette lock, which is supplied from a feeder 4 in a straightened condition, is stopped in a station 2. If this stop is detected, a chucking cylinder 13 is actuated performing chucking. Next, a rotating cylinder is actuated performing a change of direction of the cassette lock. Under this condition, an inserting cylinder 15 is actuated extruding a base 10 in a direction of the holder 8. Here a slit of the cassette lock is inserted to a notch of the holder 8 being prevented from moving because the holder 8 is firmly retained by the cylinder 3.
