PURPOSE:To obtain a coating soln. good in stability by dispersing pigment particles for a total dispersion time specified in ratio to the dispersion time required for minimizing the particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:The dispersion of the pigment particles is executed with a sand mill or a wet dispersion device while an average particle diameter is observed. The time required for rendering the particle diameter 0.5mum is t1 and the dispersion is continued for 10 times of t1 while the average particle diameter is being observed. In this range of the dispersion time, the dispersion is executed for 2-4 times of T1, where T1 is the time at which the diameter is minimized, Thus permitting the obtained coating soln. to be stable, and prevented from increase of the particle diameter with the lapse of time, and small in rise of viscosity. |
