The invention refers to a musical xylophone designed for amateurs or orchestras. The xylophone is made up of some support legs (1) which have a recessed handle (a) and some cut surfaces (b) that are joined with a body (2) of the xylophone. Inside the body (2) there is a cutting (c) which has the role of a resonance room, with the level (d) variable in the horizontal plane and the level (e) variable in the vertical plane. The xylophone plates (4) have some orifices (f) with counter-bores (g) that the fixing pins go through. According to the invention, the building solution for the xylophone has the advantage that it creates a resonance room with continuously variable section, which increases the acoustic performance of the instrument. Also, by building the xylophone according to the invention, the possibility that the xylophone plates would accidentally come off or be displaced during manipulation is eliminated.
