1. A method for restricting access to data stored in a distributed computing environment, the method comprising the steps of:
receiving, by one or more computer processors, a request from a first user to access data stored in a first location; determining, by one or more computer processors, a profile of the first user, wherein the profile includes one or more locations of data storage that the first user is allowed to access; responsive to determining the profile of the first user, determining, by one or more computer processors, whether the first location is included in the one or more locations of data storage that the first user is allowed to access; and responsive to determining the first location is included in the one or more locations of data storage that the first user is allowed to access, granting, by one or more computer processors, the first user access to the data stored in the first location. |
