PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to recognize readily a specific magnification alteration by having a structure in which a magnification alteration is stopped when a magnification reaches a specific magnification in an image recording system provided with magnification setting means for alteration setting step by step constantly the recording magnification of an image through key operation. SOLUTION: During the operation for copying, a copy mode is selected by the copy/communication key 18b an operation part 18; subsequently, the size of cut paper is set by a selection key 18c. In addition, a copying magnification is set by the operation of a magnification up/down key 18e, each magnification in accordance with a lower key or an upper key pressed by the operation of the magnification up/down key 18e is increased and decreased by 1%. In this case, when the alteration magnification reaches a format magnification, an alteration is stopped even when the lower key or upper key remains in a pressed state with the consequence that a numerical indication showing the magnification and character indication showing a format magnification are held for a constant period of time. After that, a start key 18d is made 'ON' to start copying operation. |
