PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor improved in reliability by preventing a fixed scroll and a rotary scroll from being seized. SOLUTION: The inclusion of oil between the fixed scroll 2 and the rotary scroll 3 is promoted by reducing the height of a lap from the centerline of the lap toward the side surface of the lap in the thickness direction of the lap even when the axal gap between the fixed scroll and the rotary scroll is reduced. A zone where the height of the lap is constant in the thickness direction of the lap of a swirl lap is formed. Since the leakage of a refrigerant is reduced, high lubricating performance is maintained irrespective of the operating conditions.
