PURPOSE:To obtain a reclaimed tire, provided with a large actual grounding surface and generating separation hardly, easily by a method wherein a shape retaining member for preventing the deformation of the bottom part of a tread groove is mounted in the tread groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of a tread while said shape retaining member is removed after vulcanizing the reclamined tire. CONSTITUTION:A shape retaining member 6 for preventing the deformation of the bottom part of tread groove 4 is mounted in the tread groove 4 before vulcanizing an unvulcanized reclaimed tire 10. The shape retaining member 6 is formed by a material provided with a melting point, a softening point or decomposition point higher than a vulcanizing temperature (in the degree of 160 deg.C at maximum). A string member, woven by organic fibers, such as cotton, hemp or the like for example or inorganic fibers, is used as the shape retaining member 6. The sectional shape of the string member is circular and the sectional area thereof is preferable to cover more than 1/4 and less than 2/3 or the depth from the bottom of the tread groove 4. The unvulcanized reclaimed tire 10, mounted with the shape retaining member 6 in the tread groove 4, is vulcanized in a vulcanizing device. After vulcanizing it, the reclaimed tire is taken out of the vulcanizing device and the shape retaining member 6 in the tread groove 4 is removed. |
