[PROBLEMS] To provide a thermoplastic resin foam, which has both a high reflectance and resistance to ultraviolet light and is suitable as light reflecting plates, for example, for decorative illumination signboards, lighting equipment, backlight of displays, and lighting boxes. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A thermoplastic resin foam in which at least one surface has a large number of fine concaves and convexes (10), (12) and a requirement represented by 0.01 µm = d = 20 µm is satisfied wherein d represents at least one value of the average value of the distance between adjacent convexes and the average value of the distance between adjacent concaves.
