METHOD AND DEVICE TO ALLOW COMMUNICATION AMONG EQUAL-ACCESS STATIONS IN A CIRCULAR SERIAL FIBRE-OPTIC DATA BUS

The invention relates to a method for allowing communication among equal-access stations (2, ..., 12) of a circular, serial fibre-optic data bus and a device for carrying out said method of communication. According to the invention a station (2) generates strictly cyclic container messages (CT) during a bus cycle, addresses them, places them on the serial bus and sends a synchronisation message at the end of the bus cycle; each station (2, ..., 12) writes its data into container messages (CT) addressed to it and every station (2, ..., 12) reads the container messages (CT) of the serial bus in accordance with its reading authorization. By means of the synchronisation message all read data can be processed in the stations (2, ..., 12). In this way equal-access stations of a circular, serial fibre-optic data bus can exchange process data randomly, extremely rapidly and in a strictly cyclic manner.
