PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of the interval between printing dots by providing a means for changing the vertical position of a head group in performing printing on the printing paper set on a rotary drum by using two vertical rows of nozzles. CONSTITUTION:At the time when the printing is made on the surface of paper being wound on a rotating drum by ink jet heads B1 and B2 which are arranged in two rows vertically, a radiating plate HS, on which heads B1 and B2 are arranged vertically in order to keep the distance between the two heads and the paper face contant, is fixed on rack RA. By turning knob TM, gears g1, g2 and g3 are turned, thereby tips of the heads move vertically along surface L. By moving the center of the two vertical heads so that DELTAl becomes zero, any error in setting the distance between the two heads at the time of assembling the apparatus is eliminated. |
