<p>A method of aging electrovacuum apparatus provides for discharge through the gap between the electrodes (14, 15) of an electrovacuum apparatus (16) after a breakdown of said gap of an open section (4) of a long line, previously charged with a voltage which is lower than that of the breakdown and which is switched in a lapse of time after the breakdown, the length of which is determined by the parameters of the long line. A device for aging electrovacuum apparatus comprises terminal clamps (1, 2) for connecting the electrovacuum apparatus (16), a breakdown voltage source (3) connected to the terminal clamps (1, 2) to which is also connected, through a diode (8), the open section (4) of the long line, connected in turn to a discharge voltage source (5). The section (4) of the long line is discharged through the interelectrode gap of the electrovacuum apparatus (16) in a lapse of time after its discharge, which equals twice the time of passage of the electromagnetic wave along the section (4) of the long line, after which the voltage on it changes to the opposite sign, so that the diode (8) is locked.</p> |
