PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a three-dimensional coordinate capable of detecting the coordinates of a three-dimensional object unnecessitating calibration between plural cameras and the actual world. SOLUTION: A wall 3 on which a lattice is formed like a square in the (x) and (y) directions is successively moved in the directions of z0 to zw in a three-dimensional space at a specified interval, is picked-up by plural cameras C1, C2,...Cn, an index is applied to the lattice which is projected on each of the picked up images, a figure as the three-dimensional object is arranged in a space obtd. by removing the wall 3, the three-dimensional object is picked up by each of the cameras C1, C2,...Cn, the index in each of the camera images of a point of the picked-up three-dimensional object is calculated and the three- dimensional coordinates are calculated from the minimum area condition of a polygonal to be constituted by the index. |
