A system and a method for supplying an electric power are provided to stably supply a power to a telematics device of vehicles by including a separate power supply part. A power supply system includes a power supply part(10), a modem(20), a buffer(30), and a central processing part(40). The power supply part supplies a fixed power to the modem, the buffer, and the central processing part in an active mode. The power supply part supplies a pulse power of a fixed cycle to the modem in a standby mode. The modem wirelessly communicates with an outer part. The modem performs a process with the central processing part through the buffer in the active mode. The modem monitors an external signal in the standby mode. The buffer is positioned between the modem and the central processing part. The buffer prevents that a power of a quasi-active modem is leaked to an inactive central processing part in the standby mode. The central processing part performs a process through communication with the modem. |
