PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a lateral end of a weather strip to a glass run without producing a clearance therebetween while accommodating variations in processing or assembling accuracy of the weather strip and the glass run. SOLUTION: A laterally extending frame-like weather strip 21 slidably contacts a midsection of a door glass 9 of a vehicle. The weather strip 21 comprises a window frame inserting portion 24 that is inserted into the inside of a lower edge (flange 4a) of a door window opening. A relatively soft and deformable sponge-like sealing material 29 having elasticity and water-resistance is secured to a lower portion of a lateral end of the window frame inserting portion 24. A vertically extending frame-like glass run slidably contacts lateral ends of the door glass 9. The glass run is fixed to a lateral edge portion of the door window opening. The weather strip 21 is fixed to the lower edge portion of the door window opening. At the same time, the sealing material 29 is deformed by contact with a window frame fitting portion 16D of a glass run joint 14 so as to closely contact the window frame fitting portion 16D. Thus, the lateral ends of the weather strip 21 are joined to the glass run. |
