PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developing cartridge from being erroneously mounted by providing a device with a cartridge-side discrimination part which is shaped according to the type of toner housed in a toner housing part and with which only one discrimination part arranged at a device body can be fitted. SOLUTION: A rear cover 68 is formed so as to cope with the respective developing cartridges 20Y, 20M and 20C. Then, the cover 68 is integrally provided with projections (cartridge-side projection parts) 68Ya, 68Ma and 68Ca being as a discrimination part for discriminating the cartridges 20Y, 20M and 20C. The projections 68Ya, 68Ma and 68Ca are shaped into the slender rectangular parts whose middle parts are disconnected by recesses (grooves) and made to project forward in a mounting direction. The respective projections 68Ya, 68Ma and 68Ca are set at an identical position with respect to the cover 68, identically shaped and provided with identical size. The positions of the cartridge-side recesses (grooves) 68Yb, 68Mb and 68Cb formed at one of the projections in the longitudinal direction are mutually made different according to the color of the housed toner. |
